LONG ISLAND BICYCLE CLUB CUESHEETS

SECTION A - Rides from Westbury High School, the club's starting location

Directions To Start: Take the Northern State Parkway to Post Avenue - Exit 32 North. Go north on Post Ave. The school is on the right just after Jericho Turnpike. Park by the tennis courts.

A-001 - Standard Ride to Bayville (34.4 miles - Moderate)

"The "Standard" LIBC Ride goes through Syosset (with a stop at the firehouse), Oyster Bay and Mill Neck. The lunch stop is in Bayville (eat on the beach or in one of the restaurants). Then it's back to the lot through Locust Valley and Old Brookville."

A-003 - Ronkonkoma Century (100.1 miles - Flat)

This very flat century begins by heading west on the LIE Service Rd. It then heads east through Bethpage, Wyandanch, Commack and Lake Ronkonkoma and then back west to the lot.

A-005 - Ides of March Ride (49.2 miles - Hilly)

Lots of twists, turns and hills - this ride goes through Port Washington and Great Neck. An LIBC classic. "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in the hills, But in ourselves, that we are underlings." In other words, "Beware the Ides of March." Togas required, daggers optional!

A-006 - Eatons Neck (59.5 miles - Hilly)

First to the Syosset firehouse, then some hills, flat along the beach to Eatons Neck, then lunch in Northport and back the flat way on Pulaski. Lots of great views on this ride.

A-007 - Port Washington-Sea Cliff-Bayville (59 miles - Moderate)

This ride tours the North Shore along the water through Port Washington, Sands Point, Roslyn, Sea Cliff, Glen Cove, Lattingtown and Bayville.

A-008 - Sunken Meadow - Northport (54.4 miles - Moderate)

After the Syoset firehouse, the route is flat to Sunken Meadow Park. Then it's hills to Northport (lunch stop) and a few more hills after lunch. You can enter Sunken Meadow Park at the bottom of Kohr Rd and ride to the beach. Just before Northport, James Street has one of the best views on Long Island.
